IT Contractors - I'm a student looking to finish my homework.

Sorin from Browns Bay

Hi lovely people,

The reason I'm writing to you is a research project I am working on, as part of my MBA. In particular, I am looking at IT contractors, born between 1980 and 2000. The purpose of this project is to understand what motivates millennial IT contractors in New Zealand, as of 2018, at the beginnings of the fourth industrial revolution.

Motivation has no "one size fits all formula". Additionally, multiple studies claim that IT professionals have unique attitudes in regards to job motivation and satisfaction. Moreover, New Zealand lacks such studies.

Understanding the motivational factors of millennial IT contractors will help management professionals to address the issue better and also allow practitioners to understand their position in the industry.

Copy-Paste this link in your web browser to access this survey: massey.au1.qualtrics.com...

Information is collected expressly for the purpose of research and will be collated and presented in a way where no individuals or organisations can be identified.

For any comments or concerns, please contact me or Professor Craig Johnson, Director - Ethics, telephone 063569099 ext 85271, email: humanethics@massey.ac.nz.

If you can get me in touch with any people that match the above description, or forward my request to them, It would be of great help for me and value for New Zealand's IT industry. Also, please feel free to share this message with anyone you think might be able to help.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you,

Sorin Mihailescu

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? πŸ›»πŸš¨πŸš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.

Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.

For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.

Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature β€” and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

We hope this brings a smile!
