Having Trouble Finding an Identity Witness for your Passport?
If you're having difficulty finding a person who fits the criteria to be your identity referee for your passport application, here’s what you can do:
📌complete a printed application (rather than applying online)
📌complete a statutory declaration, and
📌mail both of these, along with other applicable documents, to the address on your application form.
These applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis meaning your application might take longer than normal, and it might not be successful.
For more information, including the details you must include in your statutory declaration and who can be the witness for it, go to: cab.org.nz/article/KB00001684
