'Suspicious' fire tears through Pakuranga school
An investigation is underway after a fire tore through an Auckland school classroom.
Fire crews were called to Pakuranga Heights School just before 11pm on Sunday to battle the blaze.
Senior fire officer for Mt Wellington, Bob Morrison said the classroom was "well involved" in fire when crew arrived. The fire is being treated as suspicious.
On Monday morning, the school was open "as per usual" for the first day of term two, according to its Facebook page.
