Catholic music man's service acknowledged by Pope Francis
Peter Gilmour, one of Howick's dedicated and devoted Catholic parishioners, received the Pope's Benemerenti at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church last weekend. Pope Francis has sent the special acknowledgement from the Vatican City. The grand framed certificate and medal were presented to Gilmour by Father John Fitzmaurice and welcomed by the large congregation packed into the church.
