Being able to learn online and through block learning was so much more efficient for me as a working Māmā. I was able to work, look after my tamariki and gain a degree at the same time. We supported each other to get over the line. I’m studying for a Master’s now and I’m learning so much more. I love it!”

The V shaped pillar is now visible above the cofferdam which created a water-free working environment for construction crew.
It paves the way for a new bridge to restore walking, cycling and fishing connections to Mangere Bridge and Onehunga.
Earmarked for completion in 2022, the structure will boost clearance underneath and space between the piers for waka, canoes and small watercrafts to sail into Mangere Inlet.
