Merry Christmas - Now empty your pockets

Lloyd from Hillcrest

A warning to supermarket shoppers. Supermarket prices for fresh fruit & vegetables have just sky rocketed. Even more I think than in previous years. We all know this happens at Christmas time so be very wary when you enter the doors. Also for those that shop at Pak N Save Wairau Road be further wary they are chalking all vehicles in their car park. When I was there earlier this morning the premises were not over patronised but to find a small trolley was well nigh impossible. It appears the supermarket is using these for storing stacking etc. They got a quantity of new ones not so long ago but the situation for shoppers has not improved. Have a happy holiday.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
