Commemorate your loved ones at Glenfield Library
Matariki is about reflecting on the past, celebrating the present and preparing for the future.
Glenfield Library is honoured to have a space for you to commemorate your loved ones who have passed on since the rising of Matariki in 2022 to the setting 2023.
Please write their name on a star and hang it on the tree.
We will take the stars to the Te Kamaka Marae for a planned lantern walk at sunset on the Saturday 22 July 2023.
Join us behind the Northcote Library@6PM.
What word sums up 2024, neighbours?
If 2020 was the year of lockdowns, banana bread, and WFH (work from home)....
In one word, how would you define 2024?
We're excited to see what you come up with!
Best way to use leftovers?
I'm sure you've got some excess ham at home or cold roast potatoes.

Missing Cat, Heath Ave, Northcote
Hi there, We are desperately wanting our fur baby Max back. We live at 17 Heath Ave, Northcote. Please check your garages and sheds as we are worried he is trapped. He is a HUGE cat, light and dark grey stripes, has flea collar on and a tag around his neck with his name 'Max' and my number on the other side, Melissa 021706054 :) thanks for keeping an eye out and for checking your property, we are so worried :(
