Quite a morning we had!
"QUITE A MORNING WE HAD. We cleared up the clothes that were just dumped in the car park at Sheppards Park. We found it difficult to ignore, and we blame the influence of our kaumatua Whaea Jo who cannot tolerate a mess being left behind in our public places ๐ We also helped 2 cars that broke down on Rangatira Road only 1 meter away from each other. One of the drivers needed petrol โฝ and couldn't walk due to ankle injury, so we drove her to the Caltex ourselves. A really nice lady who shares our passion for the volunteering lifestyle. Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
