Re-opening

Birkenhead RSA

From midnight the 31 August Auckland reduces to Alert Level 2. This means The Birkenhead RSA will re-open under Level Two Alert status 11am Monday morning 31/8/2020 with the following restrictions:
* Limits on "mass gathering" will be in place meaning groups

of no more than 10 (with the exception of funerals)

* Groups or bubbles limited to maximum of 10

* Maximum of 100 people allowed on the premises

(In our case 100 upstairs and 100 downstairs)

* Social distancing in place

* Table Service in place

* CONTACT TRACING to be adhered to either using your

mobile with the NZ Covid19 app, or signing the contact

tracing register. I am aware that some members believe the

contact tracing requirements are onorous, but they are in

place for a good reason and have proven their worth during

the last two weeks! The Health and Safety of fellow

members should be a priority for us all!

A review on the Alert Level Status for the rest of NZ will be made on the 6th September 2020. There is no indication when a review on Auckland Level 2 will be considered. I believe we have to work with Level two being in place for sometime from next Monday the 31st.

Regretably the dance floor will be closed until further notice, but I will look to arrange some live entertainment starting as soon as possible!

I will also be seeking further clarification regarding sport section activities allowed under the new Level 2, and posting updates as soon as possible.

Kind regards and as always please do not hesitate to contact me in the office (09 418 2424) during the week or on my mobile 021433973 at anytime. Also, if you know of any member who could use some support - please contact me!
