Dear neighbours,
we are looking for a kind person who is willing to take our cat and look after him. His name is Dipley, 4 years old, desexed, recently had a flea treatment and de-wormed.
We've been looking after Dipley for the last 2 years but a month ago he became very sick and lost a lot of weight. He needs to follow a prescription diet as he is diagnosed with Crohn's disease and cannot digest common food. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide poor Dipley with a necessary environment for recovery as he is very shy of our other 3 animals (dogs and a cat) and as a result does not eat as much as he needs. We are worried that his condition is worsening. If you have time, patience and love for animals and can take Dipley to your home and look after him, we will be very grateful. Dipley is a very gentle big black cat, however not a lap cat and very shy. He will let people he trusts to pat him. His follow up vet's appointment is due in a week time that we are willing to pay.
My phone number is 0211785166.

After 2.5 years, Te Onewa Northcote Wharf is now open again and ferry sailings have resumed!
The rebuilt wharf is looking fantastic, with new shelter, seating and bi-lingual signage.
On behalf of the Kaipatiki Local Board, I had the privilege of attending a small pōwhiri with mana whenua this morning, alongside councillors Richard Hills, Chris Darby and representatives of Auckland Transport.
Thankyou to everyone who has advocated over many years for the ferry service to be retained and for the wharf to be enhanced. I know that the Kaipātiki Local Board has been particularly vocal in keeping the service and I thank past and present local board members for that.

Note: Additional piles are due to be added in the coming months, which will allow the ferry to dock from both directions.
