Heartbeats Cardiac Rehabilitation and Support Group
Heartbeats, next meeting is this THURSDAY at the Mary Thomas Centre, 3 Gibbons Rd, Takapuna, (behind the Takapuna Library) from 10:00am to 11:30am.
Heartbeats is a community-based cardiac support group for heart event survivors, their partners, family and whanau. Heartbeats members come together each month to:
- help each other with long term personal rehabilitation and heart management, through sharing their experiences
- provide a better understanding of heart disease among members and the broader community
- connect members with a broad range of cardiac healthcare providers in the community
At most meetings we have a guest speaker, either a doctor, cardiologist, dietitian, pharmacist, physiotherapist, heart health counsellor etc.
Come along to our very informal, friendly meetings, share your journey and learn from others with the same life-changing issue. We are a fully inclusive group.

Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?
The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟
While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.
We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?

77.9% Community feedback and transparency is needed.
-
22.1% No. This would be impossible in practice.

(Trev from Silverdale kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Trev!)
