Sending Love Christmas Cards
Christmas embodies a real and inclusive generosity that no other time of the year can match. Yes, there is stress, but there is also kindness – to those alone and in need.
MECOSS is overwhelmed with the mammoth response to the call put out just over two weeks ago by the 'Sending Love charity', for contributions of Christmas cards crafted with hand written messages, for distribution to elderly people in our East Auckland community, who’re confined to an age-care facility this festive season.
If you’d like to help spread some Christmas cheer, you can write a message on a Christmas greeting card and post it in the drop-box located in the foyer of the All Saints’ Community Centre, 30 Cook Street, Howick, every day between 8:00am and 4:30pm until Friday, 15 December.
If you’d prefer to personalise a Christmas card, paper crafting company 'Close To My Heart in America', has donated beautiful cards in conjunction with Megan Lawrence from 'Crop Craft Create', who has donated two drop-in sessions to help you fashion something a little bit special and turn them into a collectable keepsake that’ll be cherished by the recipient.

I’m often promised and sometimes new
(Trev from Tamatea kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Trev!)
