Preschoolers revel in snow day

ACG Strathallan

Youngsters at ACG Strathallan Preschool donned their warmest woollies to revel in two tonnes of snow delivered to the centre. They threw it, tasted it, rolled in it and got it in their gumboots.

For many, it was their first experience of snow and they made full use of the sensory experience. “Some children needed some encouragement to join in, but from that point forward, they were unstoppable,” said Preschool teacher Amy Haigh. “It was wonderful seeing the looks of joy on their faces and the wonder as they touched it for the first time.”

At ACG Strathallan Preschool, we introduce children to a love of play and learning by creating opportunities to explore, experiment, solve problems and express themselves as individuals.

Poll: Should you ask before planting tall shrubs/trees near your property line?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It may be fine now but in a few years trees can block out light or views for neighbours.

Do you think neighbours should ask before they go ahead and plant these?
