This helps to increase awareness of the social services available in the Howick, Pakuranga, Botany, Ormiston and Flat Bush areas.
Social services are services provided by the government for the benefit of the community such as health and medical care, upskilling and capacity building and safety and welfare.
Many organisations already have representatives attend our free monthly Community Networking Meeting, but we’re aware that there may be many more who don't know what our organisation does, or maybe that we even exist.
Attending a MECOSS Community Networking Meeting benefits people, because they become better informed of the services available to them. They can then refer family, friends, neighbours and others to an organisation that is able to provide the level of support that may enhance their life.
MECOSS’ next Community Networking Meeting will be held at 11:30am on Friday, 25 May 2018 at Glen House, Pakuranga Heights Community Hall, 6 Glenside Ave, Pakuranga Heights, Auckland.
If you’d like to know more about this meeting or would like to get involved, please email admin@mecoss.org.nz

If you've noticed a missed call from a number you don't recognise (particularly international numbers), it is important that you don't call this number back and consider reporting this as a potential scam.
Phone companies are advising customers to reject these calls and if you have friends or family living overseas, it is recommended to have their numbers added as contacts in your mobile phone, so you can identify when they are calling you.
