Framed vintage floral embroidery

Julie from Birkdale

Beautiful hand-embroidered floral framed work, exquisite workmanship. Looks like wool on a linen cloth ground.
In solid vintage oak frame which is showing its age, a little wear & tear; and behind glass.
I suspect this was once a fire-screen (see photos of the reverse) which has been adapted to hang on the wall; its quite heavy but solid and ready to hang up.
55h x 65w cm. Weighs about 6kg.
Reluctantly selling as its been in storage for years, no longer fits my house.
Pick-up only with cash please, Verrans end of Birkdale.

Price: $90

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
