Found lop eared rabbit

Tania from Beach Haven

Has anyone lost a lop eared rabbit, probably from around the Dakota Avenue/Neptune area? He hopped in to my garden to run around with my rabbits.
I’m looking after him. I took him to the vet on Saturday for numerous cuts and abrasions to his ears and to be checked for a microchip (he didn’t have one). From his behaviour he has obviously been loved so please call on 021624809 if you are missing him.
I think he may have been missing for quite some time as he wasn’t looking good a few days ago and was completely exhausted but is now much happier. I’m keeping him separate from my other two indoor/outdoor rabbits as the male now isn’t happy about him being here. Mine are both spayed this boy hasn’t been. If I can’t find the owner I’ll keep him and find a way of keeping everyone happy.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
