Hi neighbours, Auckland is set to get another upmarket dormitory-style "co-living" house for adults where residents pay up to $360 to rent a room and share communal facilities like the kitchen, bathrooms and living areas with 21 neighbours. The Coh, a luxury boarding house, has been so popular since opening on Symonds St on July 22 that its owner is planning to open another. What do you think of the co-living concept? Would you try it? Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
