Cyclone Gabrielle Emergency Shelter Devonport/Takapuna

To all residents on the Devonport Peninsula

An emergency hub shelter will be operational from 6pm tomorrow (Sunday) evening, at 6 Squadron Air Cadets HQ in 9a Achilles Cres. (on the left as you drive down from Old Lake Road).

If you need to come to the Hub for any reason, try to bring some food with you, but there will be hot drinks available, and there will be some basic sleeping gear available if needed.

In addition, for Stanley Point/Devonport residents, Stanley Bay Club will open if need be. Please call Phil Le Gros if need be.

Night-time chipsealing works on SH2

NZ Transport Agency (NZTA)

From 9 to 17 February, stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2 between McPherson Road and Dimmock Road on multiple nights between 9pm and 5am (Sundays to Thursdays).

During the day, all lanes will be open, but speed restrictions will apply to allow the chipseal to set and to protect vehicles travelling over the newly laid surface.

There may be delays to your journey when travelling through the area. This is weather dependent so check NZTA Journey Planner before you travel.
