Fathers Day - Arborist Workshop (Kaipara Plant Centre)

Adrian from Albany Heights

Something a little different for Dad this coming Fathers Day (but it's OK for Mum to come too!).

Matthew Priestly a highly qualified and experienced local Arborist will be at the centre from 0930 to 1130 to talk about the various aspects of this important gardening activity (there's a lot more involved than cutting down and pruning trees - although there will be chainsaws in evidence!).

As the event will be held outside in the Gardens maintaining appropriate Covid19 precautions will be easily achieved plus numbers will be restricted to ensure an interactive presentation with the opportunity to ask Matt any questions. Booking is therefore recommended.

Please see the attached PDF document for further details.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
