Have you heard about the new arts and crafts studio situated under the hall at St Mary By The Sea Church, 168 Deep Creek Road in Torbay? We are a not for profit centre where our community are welcome to come along, get creative and share their work. We run classes and open sessions as well as workshops and tutorials. Currently we offer sewing, crochet, knitting, macrame, mixed media, watercolours, abstract art, card making and paper crafts. We'd love to meet you. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
