Recent phone calls have originated from Australia (0061) and the United Kingdom (0044).
Dunedin Senior Sergeant Graeme Evans says the Police’s message on scams is simple – do not engage with anyone on the phone and hang up immediately if you think you are being scammed.
Anyone who believes they are a victim of a scam should immediately report it to their bank, and then to their local Police.

Every person has a story that deserves to be told, shared and remembered. Does your family know your story? Having a meaningful funeral gives everyone the chance to remember the person who has died, it is an opportunity to share their unique memories, and to receive support and comfort from others.
Have you ever attended a funeral ceremony that made you feel as if you knew the person more than you did before the service? The funeral and all the details were specifically designed to reflect the life of the loved one and allowed you to see into who they were and what they valued most – it was an opportunity to hear their story.
The funeral can take many forms, there is no right or wrong way to do it. There could be music and poems/prayers, tears and laughter. At its conclusion, there is a general feeling that it was a fitting send-off.
This is a meaningful funeral.

I would like you to know we found [hopefully] our problem to be electric hot water .I would like to let fellow Central residents know that the recommendation for gas hot water and a woodburner installation to MCLELLANDS GAS AND PLUMBING was incredibly disappointing .The customer service was appalling ,we did manage to get a tradesman from Mclellands once to look at the job, then we called instore to select a fire and request a quote and never heard from them again .We waited 3 months then began the search again ,no interest at all until on a recommendation from Neighbourly we called ADAMS HEATING AND PLUMBING ,they were professional ,quick ,and reasonably priced ,customer service faultless ,I will update you on our first power account in June. The first job which included the woodburner would have been app $10,000 , if Mclellands plumbing can afford to throw that sort of customer away then there will be karma ,there always is in business.
