FREE & NATIONWIDE online community sessions aimed at supporting health and wellbeing as part of the government's Covid-19 Response Package, supporting Kiwis during and beyond lockdown. Join us from the comfort of your own space - no commute, no parking issues. We offer a range of sessions, all hosted online by experience facilitators, all with 'lived-experience'. This means that our facilitators have 'been there done that' - they understand what you may be facing right now. Sessions on offer include: - Flexible Fitness (no workout gear needed, no sweat - exercise at home, your desk, anywhere! All fitness levels catered for) - Strong Body, Strong Mind (strength training - no equipment needed, all fitness levels catered for) - Qijong (Yang-based Tai Chi) - Art Yoga (use colour, music and art to express yourself) - Mindfulness and Awareness (a six-week series on practising mindfulness to help you overcome current challenges and build resilience) - Mindful Journaling (a short meditation followed by guided journaling to get in touch with your inner self and emotions, and navigate through these) - Guided Meditation (a beautiful guided meditation to clear the chakras and support energy flow) - Eating Difficulties Support Group (a four week series offering support and guidance for those who find themselves responding to distress by controlling eating habits and/or developing an unhealthy body image) - Mad Poets - Open Mic Night (share your poetry at our online Open Mic Night, hosted by the Mad Poets Canterbury) - and many more to come, we are adding new sessions weekly These sessions are all hosted online on a private Zoom link, and will run until the end of October - join us for support, and connect for wellbeing.
