Have you seen the vehicle going around the suburbs and wondered who we are?
Are you possibly interested in getting the volunteer version of 'Better work stories'?
We, at Wellington South Community Patrol, are always looking for new volunteers to join our team, and therefore are offering you the chance to to join us on a patrol to see what we do.
We are the 'extra eyes and ears' for the Police, late at night on the weekends and during the day through the week. We have our own vehicle; we patrol in teams of two or three (Safety comes first); the patrol is over 10 years old and one of the more successful community patrols in Wellington City, with having excellent results. We patrol everywhere south and east of the Basin Reserve. From Brooklyn West to Seatoun of the Miramar Peninsula.
If this is you, please do not hesitate to reply below or message us.
If you see anything suspicious or untoward happening, please call 111 and let them know. If you are uncomfortable with this and you see us around let us know and we will report it for you.
Thanks
Cath

We have had some incredible successes this year, including winning a Safer City award (our second one since starting in 2011) in early November. Several members of our team went to the Presentation of our award (See photos)
We still go out every Friday and Saturday night, helping to deter crime, as well as patrolling during the week. We have helped out at events (Newtown Fair) as well.
If you would like to know more about us, join the police in the future, or see what we do on a patrol, please either reply below or pm us. We are offering ridealongs to those of you whom are interested.
We don't get paid, but the stories are worth it :)
Leave us message :)
