WISH Trust is a registered charitable trust established by a small team of visionaries in 1993. We provide a community-based residential rehabilitation service for people with mental illness by supporting them to live the kind of life they would like to live, including active participation in the community. We support the cultural, physical and emotional needs of the residents within an environment of respect, trust and Aroha. WISH is a non-government organisation (NGO) funded by the Auckland District Health Board and the Ministry of Social Development. We are grateful for the generosity of organisations and individuals who understand that helping out with the little things - replacing a doorknob, cleaning the windows or taking the residents on an outing - can make a big difference!
