For over 30 years, Wai Ora's mission has been providing opportunities for whānau to reach their potential through social services, training, and employment preparation, all in a supportive Christian kaupapa Māori environment.
Wai Ora’s current programmes include Social Services and training for at risk youth 11 to 16. This mahi is delivered in schools. Training for professionals and community members. This is a tailored course in managing complex behavioural patterns.
He Huringa Ora o Wāhine is a programme for young wāhine aged 16 to 24. This programme is designed to empower wāhine to gain employment and aspire to a future of success. Included is intensive wraparound support, personal coaching, raranga (weaving), life skills and so much more.
As part of it’s social housing development Wai Ora has limited amount of short-term accommodation available and the grounds supply a constant flow of seasonal fruit & veg to the community.
Wai Ora is a Registered Charitable trust, all donations ae greatfully recieved and donation reciepts can be issued.
