Plunket works together with families and communities, to ensure the best start for every child. Whānau āwhina - caring for families. Here in Taranaki, we have 16 Plunket clinics: NORTH: New Plymouth Waitara Urenui Bell Block Inglewood Oakura COASTAL: Okato Rahotu Opunake CENTRAL: Stratford Eltham Kaponga SOUTH: Hawera Manaia Patea Waverley Our 16 Plunket Nurses and Clinical Health Workers work hard in their designated areas to ensure children aged 0-5 are thriving. Our health workers provide education on a range of topics and you are welcome to come along to these talks! COMMUNITY SERVICES Our Community Services Branch develops and supports community groups, events and initiatives to ensure tamariki/children grow up happy and healthy; parents are confident and whanau/families are connected to their wider community. The Community Services staff are available to the community to establish or help with programmes and services that will keep our families connected, parents confident and children healthy! Community Services are in charge of Plunket Groups; putting people in touch with the wider community and recruiting/managing our volunteer database. Plunket volunteers are integral to our success at our fundraising events; and they assist with our everyday clinic operations.
