We are the major supplier of sport and recreation services and expertise to the Otago region and a leading advocate on the wide range of issues affecting this sector. Our major objective is to fully develop sport and physical activity levels in Otago by working alongside a variety of sporting and leisure groups in the province. Sport Otago is a charitable not-for-profit organisation, and was the first of the 17 Regional Sports Trusts in New Zealand to be established when it was formed in 1983.
