Fostering saves lives and helps mums raise their bubs in a safe and quiet environment. We cover all training and costs. All you need is time and love to spare!

These wonderful animals have been waiting patiently for their special someone – could that be you? ? You might need to travel a bit further than your nearest SPCA Center, but we promise they're worth the journey.
Even though we’re waiving our standard adoption fees for our long-stays, every animal is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms – all ready to head home with you. Meet all of our long-stays on our site now!

No truck or trailer? No worries! We can come to your doorstep, making it easy to donate without the cost too.
Our SPCA Op Shop team offers pick-up across all of Dunedin, including Mosgiel, Waitati and the Peninsula — all you need to do is make sure they are clean and suitable for resale 💙
