Repair Café Aotearoa NZ’s (RCANZ) vision is to foster the New Zealand culture of repair among the community, businesses and government agencies. Making Repair Café management easy and a supportive experience is our goal. We coordinate the annual International Repair Day in Aotearoa as a way of bringing the repair community together. RCANZ sits within the context of the International Repair Café movement, the Te Tiriti movement in the Zero Waste sector, and the international Right to Repair movement. Making products available that are repairable and durable by design is an essential step toward waste minimisation, decarbonisation and climate justice, a goal that RCANZ supports actively with its collaborators.
