Project Jonah is a marine mammal welfare charity based in New Zealand. Through our work we inspire people to care for and protect marine mammals and the oceans these animals call home. We pride ourselves on being resourceful, friendly, honest and down to earth - things that Kiwis are well known for. Sadly, NZ has the highest whale stranding rate in the world; but we’ve also got the highest rescue success rate. Each year, hundreds of whales strand throughout NZ. Some are sick and injured, others are healthy and just need a helping hand back out to sea.
