Papatoetoe Lions Club is a small sized club situated in the South Auckland suburb of Papatoetoe. We presently have 28 active members, some of whom are in the older age bracket. The club is presently looking for "Young Blood" to allow us to continue on into the future. Activities that the club members take part in are:
-Regular street collections
-Annual Golf Tournament
-Catering for South Auckland Philatelic Society and Upper North Island Scout Association
-Age Concern -Christmas Wrapping at Hunters Plaza and Papatoetoe Christmas Parade
-Collecting eye glasses for the Vision in the Pacific Project
-Collecting childrens books for the school libraries in Fiji -Tree Planting
-Peace Posters at local schools -Speech Competitions at local schools
-Volunteering to help at various community events
-Running the Lions Van for community groups
-Many other activities
The President is David Denny and the Secretary is Jacqui Ewens. Our Meeting hall is at 25 Kolmar Road, Papatoetoe. Our hall is situated in the Acacia Court. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.
