The Kapiti Chess Club was established in 1984 and since that date has provided a venue and facility for all members of the Kapiti community who wish to play or learn to play the game of Chess. In addition to welcoming all members of the public, club members have also provided chess tuition in local schools and held “Open” Chess Tournaments for both the chess playing community and members of the public. We meet every Tuesday night at 7.30pm at the Salvation Army Hall, 41 Bluegum Rd.
