About Inspiring Communities

Some amazing things are happening in Kiwi communities - led by local people in local places (often referred to as community-led development).  Inspiring Communities was created to share ideas and learning across Kiwi communities – so we can inspire each other, and stop reinventing the wheel!   

Our vision is for all communities in Aotearoa to flourish. We represent a national network of 3000 supporters from many sectors, places and interests – people who believe in the power of ‘place’ and want to make a difference by working together.

• actively promote community-led ways of working
• host training and events to deepen and spread expertise 
• gather and share stories about communities making a difference
• link people and places for mutual support
