The Horsham Downs Community Hall is one of a number of Council owned amenities in the Waikato District which are available to the public for a variety of uses. The Hall is very well patronized by multiple organisations including the Horsham Downs School, The Village Church plus Dance and Fitness groups. To check the availability, charges and conditions for the hire of the Hall please contact Anna Pollard on 021 164 7973. The Council delegates the authority to manage the day to day operations of the Hall to a locally elected Committee that also represents the local Community in Council related matters. To qualify to participate in the election process you only need to be paying a targeted rate to the Horsham Downs Community Centre. (check your rates notice.) The Committee meets bi-monthly to report on it's activities and to present its financial position. These meetings are attended by either one or both of the District Councillors who represent this area (presently Cnrs Chris Woolerton and Janet Gibb) who update the Committee on Council affairs and receive any relevant feedback on local matters (eg roading, drainage, rubbish collection, etc).
