Established in January 1946, Hamilton Civic Choir is a not-for-profit adult choir comprised of auditioned, volunteer members from across the Waikato Region. Over the past 72 years we have partnered with community choirs, professional soloists and musicians, as well as premiered works from nationally known contemporary composers, bringing a wide variety of arts viewing and listening opportunities to the Waikato. We have continued to maintain a major musical presence in the Waikato region by presenting four to six concerts every year, as well as performing outreach programmes such as our free Hamilton Gardens concerts and singing in the rest-homes, covering a variety of styles and attracting wide audiences.
