Wahoo!! It is planting season lets plant..

Come along to Gates Reserve, on the south side of the control gates along side the beautiful Waikato river and help make Taupo even greener.

Planting Starts at 10am!

Bring your gumboots, garden gloves and a spade, we do have some spades to share and there will be some holes dug. Bring suitable wet weather gear if required. Enjoy a fun morning out, there will be a sausage sizzle afterwards for all planters.

Predator Free Taupo will be there talking and selling traps.

There will be face painting and good coffee being sold by Coffee stop.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN PULLING INTO THE SITE AND LEAVING BY VEHICLE, IT IS A VERY BUSY ROAD. BE SAFE !!!

See you all there!!!

Greening Taupo's vision is to work with businesses, organisations, schools and the community to improve and restore the Taupo environment for people and the native wildlife.

With your help we can:

- Plant loads of natives and help maintain sites throughout the area

- Bring back the birds

- This will provide native seed source for the increase natural spread of native plants

- Reduce areas of weeds that need to be sprayed

- Improve our visual landscape

- Restore our natural heritage

- Increase recreational opportunities

- Become a healthier, greener community

Proudly brought to you by:
