Glendowie Boating Club is a family oriented dinghy sailing club, founded in 1949 and situated on the shores of the beautiful Tamaki estuary.  The club has an active membership and a regular programme of sailing and racing on Sundays from early Spring through to late Autumn. 

The Club's 2015/16 season starts on 20 September.  The first school holiday Learn-to-sail programme (YNZ Level 1) of the season starts the following week, on Monday, 28 September.  This programme is a great introduction for boys and girls keen to begin an exciting lifetime of sailing.  

Glendowie Boating Club’s next school holiday Learn-to-sail programme will be held during the week from 28 September to 2 October 2015.  This introductory course will be held each morning that week from 0900 to 1230.  The course is a great introduction for boys and girls keen to begin an exciting lifetime of sailing.  The cost of the course is $330 per sailor and includes the use of a club optimist training dinghy and all coaching fees.  For registration and more details visit http://www.gbcyachting.org.nz or email the secretary on admin@gbcyachting.org.nz.
