The Great Auckland Bargain Book Sale is an annual event, aimed to raise funds for a number of local community groups and charities including: Tamaki Lions, the East City Community Trust, and local sports clubs that utilise the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium (was ASB Stadium) in Kohimarama Road. Tens of thousands of books, magazines, DVDs, textbooks, children’s books and records are collected throughout the year, and sorted by volunteers into categories which all go on sale at the beginning of November. The dates for 2018 are Saturday 3rd November from 9am through until 1am Sunday 4th November - then reopening at 7am Sunday through until 3pm. If you have second hand books (or DVDS, records, puzzles etc!) you would like to donate to the Great Auckland Bargain Book Fair, you can drop them off at our sorting depot at the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium Kohimarama any time throughout the year.
