Patrick is an artist from the Waikato district and lives just out of Tuakau on 4 acres. After leaving Palmerston North Boys High School he was accepted into Elam University of Fine Arts in Auckland and a course in Visual Communication and Marketing in Wellington. He accepted the latter. After a successful career in advertising he left the industry 2 years ago as an Executive Creative Director and part owner of an independent advertising agency.
Since then Patrick has returned to his two great passions, art and music, where he combined them to create a series called “A Brush with Fame”. The Works have been created on brushes using acrylics and uses iconic musicians as his subjects. Some comic book and movie characters have also been part of the series.
Patrick has always loved to collect works that draw him in and makes him smile. He hopes you enjoy the art as much as he enjoys producing them.

Adaptation is often understood as the ability to adjust to an environment, to accept its conditions and become less visible within it. In this body of work, the focus shifts to a different moment, the point at which adaptation reaches its limit and begins to form a boundary.
This boundary is not a gesture of refusal or isolation. It appears as a need to define how interaction with the outside world takes place. Not to shut it out, but to stay in contact while maintaining a sense of stability. Here, the boundary is not an opposition, but a way of reaching agreement.
The works take the form of wall-mounted sculptural objects, where the boundary becomes material and physically present. Within these objects, it is expressed through weight, density, surface, and tension of form, shifting from an abstract idea into a direct experience.

Define Gravity is not a statement, but an invitation - to reflect on gravity not only as a physical law, but as a sensation: something felt, reformulated, and momentarily shifted.
This photographic exhibition explores gravity as both a physical and internal force. Local dancers are portrayed in suspended moments where effort remains visible and release has not yet arrived.
The photographer dwells on pauses - fragile intervals where tension, vulnerability, and presence become perceptible.
Here, gravity functions not only as a physical force, but as a metaphor for discipline, expectation, and internal pressure carried by the dancer. Photography becomes a way to reveal what often
escapes attention: weight, silence, and the tension that exists within flight.
