Want to make a difference to peoples’ lives? Volunteer for Citizens Advice Bureau Te Awamutu.
Our volunteers help people from all walks of life. You will find the work is interesting, stimulating and fun. We work with clients by listening carefully, thoroughly researching the options available to them and by explaining the information in a way that they can use it. We also help people access information and services online or make complaints when needed.
Volunteers are the life-blood of the CAB. Most give about 4 hours every week to answer phone calls or emails from our clients, or to help them face-to-face when they come into the CAB. On top of this ‘rostered duty’, every volunteer participates in ongoing learning and development to ensure their skills and knowledge remains current and contributes to running the CAB.
We provide all our volunteers with the training, tools and ongoing support necessary to provide our service.
