Inline hockey is fast, fun and exhilarating. Players love it, parents love it, grandparents love it! It’s played on an indoor rink, so no need to get cold or wet. Capital Penguins Inline Hockey Club is a friendly and family-oriented club that has had success at all levels of the game. We welcome new players of all ages and abilities. Our training sessions are on weekday evenings with teams in each of Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, Under 19, Junior Women, Women, Senior Men and Premier Men (Open). Active since 1994, our home rink is at the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre in Wellington. We are registered as an Incorporate Society and a Charitable Organisation. Our Club competes at all levels in the NZIHA Lower North Regional and New Zealand National inline hockey competitions and regularly attends invitational tournaments at both Junior and Senior levels. Numbers of our members have represented New Zealand in inline hockey championships overseas In addition, we provide opportunities for members' development into coaching, refereeing and managerial roles.
