Business & Professional Women's organization. Founded in 1919 by Dr Lena Madesin Phillips. Our mission is - To be the leading NZ organization representing the interests of working women, and advancing the status of all women. Who is BPW NZ for? Women: regardless of education, employment status or age, who want to benefit from networking, personal and leadership development, education programmes, projects and friendship.

Membership is available to women who are, or have been, involved in the workforce, business, the professions and self-employment

BPW members meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month to attend to club business, enjoy dinner, a guest speaker, to discuss issues, to socialise and network.

BPW Franklin's commitments include:

  • Keys to Achievement- a personal and professional development programme for women
  • An annual Bursary Award to assist women with tertiary education
  • Conference/Leadership Forums
  • Contributions to community projects
  • Involvement in Relay for Life on a biennial basis

BPW endeavours to reach out to women who are looking for friendship and a chance to network
