Community rallies for Te Aroha ambulance officer in ICU
The family of an ambulance officer who suffered a life changing medical condition say the support they have received while they wait to see if he will wake up has been “amazing”.
Te Aroha man Matthew Liddle’s future hangs in the balance after he suffered a major aneurysm on 26 January, bleeding rapidly due to the blood thinners he took for his underlying heart condition.

A wallaby spotted in Hamilton was probably kept as a pet, the regional council says - and that’s “simply irresponsible”.
The dama wallaby, which had an immature joey in its pouch, was spotted in Frankton on March 3, reported and killed, Waikato Regional Council says.
