Travel Day - You don't want to miss
✨ 2026 TRAVEL DAYS ARE STARTING EARLY — AND THIS ONE IS SPECIAL! ✨
🎨 Art, gardens, stories, and great food — all in one perfect day out
Our first 2026 travel day takes us to the beautiful Puhoi Farmhouse, home to photographer and artist Laura Tait. We’ll visit her garden and gallery, hear what inspired her latest artistic style, and learn how she creates her stunning pieces — a truly inspiring and intimate experience.
We’ll then head to the much-loved Puhoi Pub for a relaxed and delicious lunch (always a crowd favourite 🍽️).
If you haven’t registered with us yet, now is the perfect time.
📞 Call Kayleen on 027 647 5000 to find out how to join and to book this trip — and enjoy many more each month.
We can’t wait to welcome new members into our friendly, fun, and intimate group of travellers, aged 55 to 95, who love great company, new experiences, and shared memories. 💛
Computer Guy
Can anyone please recommend a reliable computer repair person who comes to the house? Red Beach area?. Much appreciated.
Easter Art Exhibition/Suffering and Hope
Come along to the opening of this thoughtful exhibition in Waimauku, 6pm this coming Friday. In the beautiful St Martin’s Church, 912 SH16
See works from Maryann Pennington and Pauline Denton, to name just a few.
Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕
Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!
Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫
