Incompetent teenage ram raiders smashed a stolen vehicle into a Hamilton dairy three times, with the driver nearly running over an accomplice at one point.

But despite a big headache for the business owner and a massive clean-up, it was all for summer snacks as the group came away with ice creams, drinks and a handful of vapes - and a court date.

‘Simply irresponsible’: Wallaby likely kept as pet in Hamilton, regional council says

A wallaby spotted in Hamilton was probably kept as a pet, the regional council says - and that’s “simply irresponsible”.

The dama wallaby, which had an immature joey in its pouch, was spotted in Frankton on March 3, reported and killed, Waikato Regional Council says.
