Belly Dance!

Grant Ellen from Miramar & Maupuia Community Centre

Everybody Dance has a new style starting this Sunday 5th October from 4:30-5:30pm (koha entry)

Jen, the instructor, known as Lenna Rose, is a belly dance teacher and performer with 15 years of experience.

Jen will be teaching the foundations of Egyptian bellydance (raqs sharqi) during October and November with Everybody Dance. The classes will cover the key techniques to build a bellydance repertoire and classes are best taken as a course, where skills can be developed during the weeks. However, if you can't make it for the whole 9 weeks, then drop ins are still very welcome!
Yallah, let's get dancing!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Can anyone recommend someone capable of fixing these two items at minimal cost. They are both battery operated but neither are working even with new batteries inserted.
