Let’s Make Waimairi Safer, Fairer, and More Connected

Pavithra from Russley

Kia ora, I’m Pavithra Ravi.

I’m a proud mum of three, a teacher, and a small business owner who lives and works right here in Waimairi. I'm running for the Waimairi Community Board because I believe local leadership should listen, follow through, and always put people before politics.

Our neighbourhood deserves:

✅ Safer, family-friendly streets

✅ Stronger support for small businesses

✅ A more connected and inclusive community

✅ Leadership that’s apolitical, approachable, and accountable

✅ Council spending that reflects what locals really need

I’m not here to play politics. I’m here to make a difference for our families, our local economy, and our future.

You can learn more or get in touch at pavithraforwaimairi.co.nz....

Let’s build a stronger, kinder Waimairi - together.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
