"No Kings" protest
There's a "No Kings" protest happening this weekend in the US and worldwide, and there are over 2000 events are registered so far. I may end up standing alone, but I will be in Putahi Park in Town Basin this Sunday at NOON to show solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of protesters in the US. As a native Californian, I cannot sit by by and watch the people of my former home be attacked by the military. Join me if you like...and bring a sign, play some music, or share some snacks! District Council has given me the green light for this gathering. Thanks!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
