car park between old Farmers shop and E Hayes. Warning, don't use the middle park
I have often, like many others, used the middle park area, when the side parks are full. This has been acceptable parking for more than 10years. However on the 22nd May I received a fine of $85 for doing this very thing. I appealed the decision but was told it must be paid as according to the small notice of conditions, in the garden area at the pedestrian walkway, I was in breach of them. This sign faces away from the park, is hard to see and there have been no other notices to say the last 10years parking arrangement has been changed. Smacks of revenue grabbing.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
