Bacterial baddie behind Waipā Business Awards gastro outbreak identified
Health officials say they have found a likely bacterial cause of the gastroenteritis outbreak at the Waipa Business Awards, but the investigation continues into the source of the outbreak.
About 390 people attended the awards on May 2, with Te Whatu Ora estimating that 100 people have experienced illness, including Waipa Mayor Susan O’Regan and her husband John Hayward.
